Today's Good News

APRIL 15 – REV. 22:20-21

4/15        Revelation 22:20-21

20 He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!  21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.

GRACE

Grace is the Lord Jesus giving us what we desperately need, membership in God’s family and an eternal relationship with Him.  His grace is simply giving us what we need and cannot earn: salvation.  He saves us unto eternity.

APRIL 14 – JOHN 14:1-3

4/14        John 14:1-3

1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.  2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?  3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

ALWAYS

Jesus said we will always be with Him.  He is watching over us and providing for us.  We have needs we aren’t even aware of but Jesus is and He is taking care of us.  He is Lord.

APRIL 13 – HEBREWS 7:25

4/13        Hebrews 7:25

25 Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.

ADVOCATE

Our advocate, Jesus Christ is interceding for us.  He knows us intimately and He knows what we need before we do.  Jesus is Alive.  He takes care of us before the Father.  He is our Lord and Savior.

APRIL 12 – ROMANS 8:26

4/12        Romans 8:26

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

VALUED

We are valued by the Lord.  He is praying for us this very moment.  He knows us and knows our problems.  Jesus loves us.  He is Lord.

APRIL 11 – ACTS 7:55-56

4/11        Acts 7:55-56

55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand.  56 And he told them, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand!”

JESUS

Jesus is alive.  He is alive in you and me.  He is with the Father in Heaven in His place of honor at the right hand of the Almighty God.

APRIL 10 – 1 COR. 15:23

4/10        1 Corinthians 15:23

23 But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.

BELONG

We belong to Jesus.  He is coming back.  We will be raised from the dead or from the living to new life in Christ at His return.  When He comes back it will be to get us and exact judgment on the lost.  Jesus is coming soon.  Come Lord Jesus.

APRIL 9 – JOHN 21:22-23

4/09            John 21:22-23

22 Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”  23 So the rumor spread among the community of believers that this disciple wouldn’t die. But that isn’t what Jesus said at all. He only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”

YOU

We are called to follow Jesus.  His word to us, each one of us, “As for you, follow me.

APRIL 8 – JOHN 14:2-3

4/08            John 14:2-3

2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?   3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

ROOM

Jesus said He had room for us in Heaven.  Amazing.  He knows when we will be there and where we will be.  Everything is already planned out.  Hallelujah.  Thank you Lord.

APRIL 7 – MATTHEW 28:5-7

4/07            Matthew 28:5-7

5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.  7 And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

FEAR

Fear binds us, freezes us, separates us and a multitude of other negative words.  Fear is simply a negative lifestyle.  Jesus said that we should not be afraid.  We do not fear anything if Christ is head of our life, if the Holy Spirit indwells us and we are the royal children of the living God Almighty.  Do not be afraid.

APRIL 6 – LUKE 21:21-31

April 6                 Luke 21:21-31

We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago. 22 “Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report.  23 They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! 24 Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.” 25 Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. 26 Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?” 27 Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 By this time they were nearing Emmaus and the end of their journey. Jesus acted as if he were going on, 29 but they begged him, “Stay the night with us, since it is getting late.” So he went home with them.   30 As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. 31 Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!

SEE

They see Him and understand.  This is the risen Lord and He has come to save His people from their sin.
