06/14               1 John 3:9 

Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. 

STAY

Stay with Jesus all day every day and you will not get caught up in sinning.  Forget about Jesus and walk in your own strength and you can’t do anything but sin.  Jesus is Lord.  He is God’s everything.  He loves you and me and will guide us in the right path.  

06/13               1 John 3:6-8 

Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.  7 Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous.  8 But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 

WHAT

What will take away my sin?  Nothing but the blood of Jesus.  When I am walking with Him I won’t sin.  When I am walking in my own strength I am sinning.  Simple.  Look at what is happening in your life.  It’s easy to know if we are under Jesus control or self-control.  Come to Him and walk by faith in the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ.  

06/12               1 John 3:5 

And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. 

RIGHTEOUSNESS

JESUS is our righteousness.  He provides forgiveness for our sin.  Stop sinning and turn back to Jesus.  He will keep us on the right path.  He brings us into relationship with the Father.  Christ is our king.  Jesus is Lord.  

06/11               1 John 3:4

Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. 

BUT

But God in Christ provides forgiveness for our sin.  Stop where you are sinning and turn back to God.  Ask Him to forgive you and He will.  Change and become more like Jesus day by day.  

06/10               1 John 3:2-3 

Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.  3 And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. 

CHOICE

We choose to maintain Christ’s moral code by choosing to live the way that Jesus lived.  People count with Jesus.  In Christ we have real power from God to do those things that are beneficial for the body of Christ and to be an example that will strengthen and encourage.  We live unto Him who is able to guide us in His victory.  

06/09               1 John 3: 1 

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 

KNOW

The call for you is to KNOW the LORD.  Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and create in you a new heart.  He says whosoever will may come.  Jesus is seeking you.  Open your heart and life to Jesus.  

06/08               Psalm 4: 6 

Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, LORD .  7You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. 8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

REAL

Our God is the Real God.  He knows us better than we know ourselves.  He is intimately involved in our life.  He seeks to reveal Himself to us and help us develop a relationship with Him.  He loves us beyond our ability to comprehend that love.  Jesus is Lord and He loves us so much that He died on the Cross to pay the price of our sin.  

06/07               Psalm 4: 5 

Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the LORD.

WHO

Who do you love?  If you love the Lord then your sacrifice will be made in the right spirit with the proper values.  If you love self, sacrifice will become nothing but a genuflection towards God.  Not realizing who He is and what He does.  God is our creator, great God and there is no other.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit combined into One.  Jesus is Lord.  

06/06               Psalm 4: 3-4 

You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him. 4 Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude 

BE

Be assured that the Lord knows what is going on and He will heal our hurt and fight our fight.  The Lord is good all the time-All the time the Lord is good.  A word to the wise: SAY LITTLE AND GRIN A LOT.  God is on His throne and He has not forgotten you.  

06/05               Psalm 4: 1-2 

Answer me when I call to you, O God who declares me innocent. Free me from my troubles. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.  2 How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make groundless accusations? How long will you continue your lies? Interlude 

GOSSIP

Gossip is pernicious and an aggressive evil that only the Lord can deal with in us and in others.  Note that the Psalmist trusts the Lord to know the situation on both sides of the issue and asking Him to fix their problems.  Remember when you have problems and we all do most of the time take them to the Lord.
