01/26               1 Kings 8:57

57 May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.

NEVER

Oh Lord, please never leave me.  Stand with me and claim my attention.  I want to know you and know you better every day Lord.  Please, help me to invest the time and focus that will equip me to change and become more like you day by day. 

01/25               Psalm 94:14

14 The LORD will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession.

OWNED

We are owned by the Lord.  We belong to Him body and soul.  He is with us.  He loves us. He will lead, guide and direct us every day.  Walk with Him.  Let Him have your attention.  Jesus is Lord. 

01/24               1 Chronicles 28:20

20 Then David continued, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the LORD is finished correctly. 

ALWAYS

The Lord always sees us through until we stand before Him in glory.  Learn to listen to the Lord.  Let Him lift up your spirits.  Let Jesus fill your mind and heart with His love and presence.  We need Him every hour of every day.  He will not neglect us or forget us.  He is not like us for He is God.  Serve the Lord and let Him have control of you.

01/23               Hebrews 13:8

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 

NO CHANGE

We change every hour, every day and respond to things in differing ways.  We are not like Jesus.  He is always the same.  He loves us and always responds to us with love. 

01/22               Joshua 1:9

9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

PRESENCE

We are in the presence of the Lord always.  When things are difficult, stop, sit, pray in your heart and mind and the presence of the Living Lord will fill you with strength and courage.  It takes real courage to fight discouragement.  Be about the business of a Christian Life knowing that the Lord is with you. 

01/21               Hebrews 13:6

6 So we can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” 

LIFE

We are not at the mercy of the world.  Life for a believer is life here and now and life with the Lord.  One day we will cross over from this life to the next and will live in the presence of the Lord.  This will be life like His life which is eternal.  Our Father is safeguarding our life from this very moment unto eternity. What can people do to you?

01/20               Joshua 1:7

7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 

BE AND DO

When we focus our life and heart on Jesus we will be successful in all we do.  Those things we do will be that which the Lord has called us to do.  The key is to love one another.  Note that it doesn’t say we are to love the lovely-it says love one another.  Christ died for each one of us from the best to the worst.  When he calls us he doesn’t require that we go away and come back when we are better. He calls us to come to Him and He will give us the rest, strength, wisdom and actions that will create a life like His. 

01/19               Deuteronomy 31:6

6 So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

STRONG

We can be strong in Jesus.  He gives us His strength.  He is here. He will be here.  He will never leave us.  He is greater than anything-He is Lord.  Our strength is in a trustworthy Lord and Savior-Jesus. 

01/18               Deuteronomy 31:8

8 Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

FEARLESS

You and I are permitted to lead fearless lives.  Yes, if we focus on the Lord and trust Him for the day we will develop a fearless lifestyle.  What can anyone do to me?  I am saved by grace and held by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is my Sovereign and Lord and I trust and follow Him. 

01/17               Hebrews 13:5

5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” 

TRUST

Forget about it. You don’t have to worry about what you will have or even what you need.  Let the Lord meet your needs daily.  Let Jesus equip you for Godly living.  If you are like me I always worry about having what I need-it is an area of difficulty for me to simply trust the Lord to provide my daily needs. But He commits that very promise to us- He will meet our every need.  Trust the Lord for He is indeed worthy of all of our trust.
