01/08               Isaiah 43:18-19

18 “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.  19 For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. 

SALVATION

Salvation is provided by the Lord.  It is free but it wasn’t cheap as it cost Jesus His life.  He died for mankind that we might have a relationship with the Lord, life like His, and be freed from bondage to sin.  In Jesus we are free indeed.  He is Lord. 

01/07               Philippians 3:13-14

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. 

GAZE

Gaze upon Jesus and your journey in Christ.  Don’t look back, don’t fear for the Lord is with you and providing you with the guidance you need to find your way home to Him.  We press on to do our best today, filled with His Spirit, walking with Jesus, we know what is required and how to do it.  Jesus is Lord of our life. 

01/06               1 Kings 8:66

66 After the festival was over, Solomon sent the people home. They blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad because the LORD had been good to his servant David and to his people Israel.

GOOD

The Word of God says that God is good.  He is always good.  He is always like himself.  Every thought the Lord has toward His child is a thought for good. 

01/05               Romans 14:17

17 For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 

BE

The Lord calls us to be the right kind of person.  We ask Him to forgive us.  We ask Him to save us.  He forgives and He saves.  We change because we have a new heart and a new life focused on Christ.  He says for us to give, to love, to sacrifice and we do. We are called to be a be before we do a do.  The Christ life isn’t works righteousness, it is the right kind of heart propelling the right kind of works.  Jesus loves you. 

01/04               Psalm 16:11

11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

FOREVER

The Lord promises to show us the way of life, a life like His life.  He will give us eternal joy, and His eternal presence.  The Lord is good, He is good to us. 

01/03               Psalm 5:11

11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. 

ALL

Notice that it says “all who take refuge” in God.  It means you if you are in the Family of God.  We feel the most joy, the most security, the very best of everything when we focus on the Lord, praise Him and receive His joy into our soul. 

01/02               1 Chronicles 16:27

27 Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling. 

THINK

Think about the Lord and how it would be with honor and majesty surrounding Him.  Think about your relationship with this wonderful Father God.  He says that He comes looking for us.  He loves you. He knows everything about you.  It means that you must be very special for that kind of complete love.  Jesus loves you.  Live like it. 

01/01               Philippians 2:1-2

1 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?  2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. 

NEW YEAR

Focus your daily life on Jesus.  Purpose to become more like Jesus this year.  Follow Him.  Obey Him. Love one another.  Change will be happening every single day.  Jesus is Lord. 

12/31               Psalm 4:7

7 You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. 

RICH

In Christ we are rich in the things that count.  Life in Jesus is a life that is filled to overflowing with value and worth.  We have His joy and peace; and grace overflowing and renewed daily.  Jesus is Lord. 

12/30               Romans 5:1-5

1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.  3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. 

DONE

Jesus has provided everything we need to lead a life that is joyous and productive.  He is with us.
