04/01         Proverbs 10:12

12 Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.

OFFENSE

Our offense too often is that we really dislike each other.  There may be many reasons why but we are shoved into the world’s mold and we forget our responsibility as Children of God and such we are.  We are called to love one another.  Not just the people we like and who like us but everyone.  People are valuable and we are called of God to care for those around us always. Rejoice today in the Lord and love one another. 

03/31          1 John 4:7-8

7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 

GOD

God is love.  If we are filled with Him and He is guiding our steps, we will love one another.  Do what the Lord says and love one another.  If we don’t love the people around us we don’t love the Lord. 

03/30          Colossians 3:14

14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 

HARMONY

If you want to live in harmony, love one another.  People count with the Lord.  He calls us to love others as He loves us. 

03/29          John 14:15

15 “If you love me, obey my commandments. 

OBEY

We say we love Jesus and live like pagans.  If we really love Jesus then we will simply do as He says.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.  Live like Jesus calls us to live-love the Lord thy God will all thy heart and soul and mind and our neighbor as ourselves. 

03/28          1 Corinthians 13:13

13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

TRUMPS

Love trumps faith and hope.  Both faith and hope are important but love is required.  Faith and hope are important on our journey in life but love is the indicator of our growth and courage.  We discipline ourselves to love one another because we love Jesus.  Jesus is Lord.

03/27          1 John 4:18-19

18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.  19 We love each other because he loved us first.

CAN

We can love the unlovely and each other because Jesus first loved us.  He knows all about us and while we were still dead in our trespasses and sin He died for forgiveness of our sin.  Fear not and love one another.  Jesus is Lord. 

03/26.          John 13:34-35

34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” 

LOVE

Love each other is required and is a strong witness to the watching world. The world doesn’t love the unlovely and we do.  Love one another.  Do this and live. 

03/25          1 Corinthians 16:13-14

13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 

14 And do everything with love. 

READY

We must be ready to demand discipline of our ourselves and be loving and kind to others.  Be courageous and sin not.  Be strong in facing the enemy and believing in Jesus.  He is Lord.  He loves us. 

03/24          Psalm 86:15

15 But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. 

THANKS

Thank you Lord that you are compassionate and merciful.  Thank you for not destroying me when I sinned.  Thank you for providing forgiveness for my sin in your precious Son-Jesus Christ.  Thank you for your love and faithfulness. 

03/23          Romans 5:8

8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 

ACT

God showed us how much He loved us.  His act of love was something we could understand.  Christ, the perfect son of God, died for us while we were still sinners so that we could be forgiven and come into the family of God.  Jesus is Lord.
