July 19                        Romans 5:3-5

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. 

SUFFERING

We don’t understand it most of the time, but His promise is that our suffering will not lead us to despair instead it will lead us to Him.  He dearly loves us.  He is always with us.  Our suffering will be used to help us develop endurance and strength of character which will enhance our confident hope in His salvation. 

July 18                        2 Corinthians 5:7

7 For we live by believing and not by seeing. 

FAITH

We have faith in God.  We trust His promises.  We live by this faith for we often cannot see ahead to how things will work out, so we trust in the Lord.  The only proof we have that things will work out is His promises.  We walk by faith in the Living Lord Jesus. 

July 17                        Isaiah 41:10

10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

NO FEAR

Fear not for the Lord is on our side.  We share in His victory.  He is Lord and nothing will ever separate us from Him. 

July 16                                    Psalm 143:8

8 Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. 

WAY

The Lord knows the way we should go, and He will tell us if we will ask Him.  We can trust the Lord to see our life in perspective of its entirety that includes the beginning until the end of this life.  He will lead us in the right way we should go. 

July 15                        Romans 8:28

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 

ALL

The Lord is involved with our life, all of our life.  His relationship with us is based upon His love for us and our willingness to let Him have control of our life.  Surrender you life to Him and He will bring peace and joy to your life. 

July 14                        Psalm 84:11

11 For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. 

KNOWS

We are seeking to become a person that knows first-hand that what the Lord wants for our life is the best thing we can have.  He knows all things and everything about us.  Trust in the Lord and know that He is good and everything He does is good. 

July 13                        Psalm 84:1-2

1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of Heaven’s Armies. 2 I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the LORD . With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God. 

LONGING

There is a longing in our heart for the permanence of Heaven.  One day we will stand before the Lord and we will know Him face to face.  Heaven is going to be a great place.  Our experience here on Earth will be no more and we will be citizens of the Lord’s city. We will be with Jesus forever. 

July 12                        Isaiah 55:8-9

8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. 

DON’T

Don’t worry.  There are times we will not understand what is going on and will not be able to piece it into a good scenario.  Remember trust the Lord, don’t worry and He will do it.  The Lord is on our side and He is working things out for our good. Sometimes it simply takes time to work out those things.  I’m reminded of a friend that prayed with me several times a week twenty years ago. He had lost his family, his business, his standing in the community and his plea to the Father was to remake his life. It’s taken twenty years and many heartaches but he is now a respected community leader and everyone in his family turns to him for help and advice in times of trouble.

July 11                        Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. 

WAIT

Sometimes we just have to wait for the Lord.  He knows the right time and place for whatever we need to do.  Trust the Lord and wait upon His guidance and He will do it. 

July 10                        John 14:13-14

13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! 

PRAY

Talk with the Lord. Tell Him of your needs.  Tell Him everything you need.  Talk with the Lord.
