April 4                        Proverbs 27:1-2

1 Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring. 2 Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth— a stranger, not your own lips. 

HUMBLE

We are called to be humble.  Assume a cloak of humility.  That doesn’t mean you are nothing because we know that we belong to Jesus and have inestimable value.  It means we recognize the value of those around us, we respect them and we are striving for their best good.  Set aside your ego and serve the Lord. 

April 3                        Psalm 90:8-12

8 You spread out our sins before you— our secret sins—and you see them all. 9 We live our lives beneath your wrath, ending our years with a groan. 10 Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away. 11 Who can comprehend the power of your anger? Your wrath is as awesome as the fear you deserve. 12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. 

LISTEN

The only time we have to listen to Jesus is now.  Time flies and life will soon be over therefore we want to listen right now before it is too late.  Listen to Jesus and do what He says. 

April 2                        Psalm 144:3-4

3 O LORD, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them? 4 For they are like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow. 

WEAK

One word that best describes the best of mankind: weak.  Our strength disappears with age.  Our life can vanish in a moment.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow. 

April 1                        James 4:14

14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. 

CAREFUL

We are called to be careful the way we live our life.  We don’t know the minute or the hour therefore we are to watch and pray.  Be ready at any moment for the Lord to call upon you. 

03/31               Psalm 147:3

3 He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. 

YOU

Are you brokenhearted?  Has life gotten you down?  The Lord is faithful.  He will never leave you.  His love is constant.  His love is healing and redeeming.  Jesus is Lord.

03/30               Psalm 30:5

5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. 

NEVER

The Lord never fails us.  He will always see us through whatever trial we are going through.  The Lord is good and He is always faithful to care for us.

03/29               Psalm 23:4-6

4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.   5 You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.  6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

ALWAYS

The Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ, is always with me.  In thick and thin the Lord is with me.  He guides me and guards me.  He is life for me and a light for my path.  The Lord is good to me.  Praise the name of the Lord.

03/28               2 Thessalonians 3:3

3 But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 

WILL

The Lord will guard you from the evil one but you have to ask and then believe that He is sending you strength.  Faith is the avenue that the Lord uses to strengthen us to protect us to equip us and to move us forward on our journey of service to which he has called us.  Life is short.  Troubles are many.  The Lord is faithful.

03/27               Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 

21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

ABLE

God is able to help us and He is more than willing to help.  Call out to Him.  Watch Him work in your life.  God is able and willing to help you function and thrive in your daily life.  Trust the Lord and He will do it.

03/26               Ephesians 3:16

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 

PROMISE

The Lord gives us His promise of strength for the day.  He is with us and will imbue us with His strength.  Stand and know that the Lord is God.  Blessed be His name.
