April 17                      James 1:12

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 

IMPORTANT

It is important that we know that the Lord is looking at our life.  We want to do those things that count in His eyes and a way that He directs for the Lord is the One evaluating our life.  Jesus is Lord.  We live for Him not the watching world.  Do the next right thing. 

April 16                      Psalm 89:47

47 Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all humanity! 

QUICK

Life is quick.  Life is perilous.  Jesus holds the key to eternal in His hands.  Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and to bring you into His family.  He will if you will believe in Him.  Ask now.  You are not promised tomorrow.  

April 15                      Psalm 78:38-39

38 Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath. 39 He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return. 

MERCY

Mercy Lord, have mercy on me.  I am a sinner saved by grace.  My heart and my interests wander and I am without focus so often.  The cares and worries of this world weigh me down.  Help me Lord focus on you, spend time with you and make your interests my interests.  Thank you Lord for your love and watchcare over me. 

April 14                      Isaiah 40:6-8

6 A voice said, “Shout!” I asked, “What should I shout?” “Shout that people are like the grass. Their beauty fades as quickly as the flowers in a field. 7 The grass withers and the flowers fade beneath the breath of the LORD . And so it is with people. 8 The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” 

TIME

God and His Word are eternal.  We are not.  We need to review how we are living and what our focus is.  We need to be focused on the Lord and His goals.  Blessed be the name of the Lord. 

April 13                      Psalm 39:5-7

5 You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.” Interlude 6 We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. 7 And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. 

HOPE

Hope isn’t some thought of the future.  Hope is based on the Word of God and the faithfulness of our Loving Father.  Our hope is based on His trustworthiness.  Our hope is grounded in the risen Christ, Jesus Lord of all.  Our only hope is in Jesus. 

April 12                      Psalm 39:4

4 “ LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. 

TIME

Time will pass entirely too quickly.  I will not have the time I want.  I must do what I can and to be whom God created me to be today.  Not tomorrow or next week-Today!  Lord help me to maximize my time here on Earth for you.  Do the next right thing.  Jesus is Lord. 

April 11                      Psalm 102:11-12

11 My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows. I am withering away like grass. 12 But you, O LORD, will sit on your throne forever. Your fame will endure to every generation. 

DAY

We do not know the day or hour that we will be called to account for our life.  I am a shadow.  Help me Lord to make every day count and to do those things that count with you.  Praise the Lord. 

April 10                      Psalm 102:1-3

1 LORD, hear my prayer! Listen to my plea! 2 Don’t turn away from me in my time of distress. Bend down to listen, and answer me quickly when I call to you. 3 For my days disappear like smoke, and my bones burn like red-hot coals. 

LORD

I cry out to you Lord.  I need you.  Please listen to me and I know You do.  Praise the name of the Lord.  Praise your holy name. 

April 9                        2 Samuel 14:14

14 All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him. 

ALL

All of us must die one day.  All of us will face that transition from life and the only time we can choose where we are going is in this life.  Will I choose the Lord God Almighty in Jesus Christ as Savior or will I choose another god that is no god to follow.  I would encourage you to choose Jesus.  Choose well. 

April 8                        Ephesians 5:15-17

15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 

YOU

You know what the Lord requires of you-ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and to come into your heart and save you-that’s what you do then you are to be-to love Him with all of your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.  Think about what you are doing.  Forgive quickly.  Ask for forgiveness when you wrong someone.
