04/06          1 Peter 1:8 

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 

REJOICE

We are called to rejoice because the victory is won.  We are assured a position with the Lord.  We have Jesus as and intecessor and as a partner although we are junior partners at best.  He loves us and we love Him but our love is based on our faith.  Rejoice because He first loved you. 

04/05          1 Peter 1:7 

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 

TODAY

Today is all you must deal with.  Dealt with your problems and submit them to the Lord.  Trust Him for tomorrow.  Be faithful today.  Be usable today.  Do not put off faithfulness do it now. 

04/04          1 Peter 1:6 

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 

ENDURE

All suffer.  All have a difficult life.  Remember as you face various trials for a little while that the Lord Jesus loves you and is here with you.  Jesus is Lord.

04/03          1 Peter 1:5

And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. 

GOD

God is protecting you.  Today.  Where you are.  Whatever you are facing.  God is protecting you.  We believe that by faith and through the power of the Holy Spirit.  God is protecting you. 

04/02          1 Peter 1:3 

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 

MERCY

His mercy is greater than anything we can comprehend.  Next time you are outdone with someone think about how great His mercy is toward you.  How often should the Father have been totally outdone with you?  And yet His mercy was overwhelming pouring over on you as you sinned and sinned and sinned.  Jesus loves you and He calls you and me to have the same type of mercy that He lavishes on us with those around us.  Mercy brother and sister, show mercy to all you meet.  Blessings on your day.  Praise the Lord. 

04/01          1 Peter 1:1-2 

This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. 2 God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace. 

GIVE

We are recipients of Grace and Peace, it is something the Father will give us.  As we know Him we become more aware of His precious gifts.  Exalt the Lord for He has blessed us with what we need and cannot earn-the gift of life a life filled with grace and peace. 

03/31          Psalm 139:15

You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.  16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. 17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! 

EVERY

Every thought you have towards me Father is a thought for good.  O Lord how often I thought of you in human terms.  I felt defeated and outcast.  I’ve spurned your friendship and I’ve not paid attention to our relationship.  Father help me to know you every moment, every hour.  Help me Lord build a relationship with you. 

03/30          Psalm 139:13

13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.  14Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 

DETAIL

What detail you have given to my life.  A detail that was fully developed before I was born.  Today you continue to give attention to my life.  Help me Lord to see this wonderful care and concern you have for me.  Open my eyes Lord that I might see what a great Lord I serve. 

03/29          Psalm 139:11-12 

I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—12

 but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. 

NOTHING

Nothing can separate me from you.  Nothing absolutely nothing.  I can pray toda with the full knowledge that you are here and concerned for me.  Thank you Lord for you are so good to me.  Blessed be the name of the Lord. 

03/28          Psalm 139:7-10

7 I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! 8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. 9 If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, 10 even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. 

HERE

O Lord you are here with me.  I am so grateful.  As I face today’s challenges I know that you are there looking over my shoulder.  You are concerned for me even before I am concerned.  Thank you Lord God Almighty.  I praise you for your immeasurable love and concern for me.  It is so much more than I can comprehend.
