04/10 Proverbs 10:19
19 Too much talk leads to sin.
Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.
SAY
Say little and grin a lot.
People talk too much and it becomes babbleling.
Listen three times as much as you talk.
04/09 Proverbs 10:11
11 The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain;
the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.
SPEAK
Speak words of kindness and gentleness.
These are words of life.
Speak words of anger and hate.
These are words of death.
04/08 James 1:19-20
19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. 20 Human anger[a] does not produce the righteousness[b] God desires.
LIFE
Life is quick.
It is unnerving.
Help often seems far away.
We are too often offended.
Slow down.
Think through the issue.
Give others the benefit of the doubt.
Hold your anger, love one another.
When you are angry you are almost always wrong.
There is no room for selfishness in the kingdom.
Being angry is selfish.
04/07 Ephesians 4:32
32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
CARE
We truly care for each other.
We surrender our critical thoughts and selfishness to Jesus.
Love the Lord with all your heart,
And your neighbor as yourself.
A real call to service.
04/06 Titus 3:2
2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.
OUR CALL
We have a call to be a servant.
We do the work of the Lord in the world.
We represent Him.
We love and care for others as He loves and cares for us.
Humility and service are our badge of honor.
Serve the Lord with gladness.
Jesus loves you.

3 Take control of what I say, O Lord,
and guard my lips.
TIME
Spend time with the Lord.
He will guide your steps.
Ask Him to help and He will speak with you.
Seek His face and wisdom will be given to you.

and my thoughts are filled with insight.
NEED
Need help?
Read God’s Word.
It Him speaking to us.
Listen.
Study.
Meditate.
Memorize.
The Word of God lines out the path we should go.
04/03 Matthew 15:18
18 But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you.
EVIL
Evil seeks to control us.
We do not realize how easily we surrender control.
The Word of God is written to us.
Where the Word of God is read, and believed,
The life of Christ is alive in us.
Read the Word as though your life depends on it.
It does for in God’s Word is God’s design for our life.
04/02 Psalm 39:1
1 I said to myself, “I will watch what I do
and not sin in what I say.
I will hold my tongue
when the ungodly are around me.”
CAREFUL
We are called to live carefully.
Aware that we are always under fire.
Evil and worldliness are always tugging at us.
Chaos and disruption are seeking control.
Our only recourse is to keep our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus.
04/01 Psalm 15:1-3
1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
3 Those who refuse to gossip
or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
WHO
Can you enter?
Can anyone enter?
Only those who claim Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Jesus intervenes for us.
We stand in His righteousness.
Jesus gives us access to the presence of the Father.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
