11/08 John 7:12-13
There was a lot of discussion about him among the crowds. Some said, “He’s a wonderful man,” while others said, “He’s nothing but a fraud, deceiving the people.” 13 But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders.
COURAGE
Jesus had great courage. He believed in the Father and was able to live a perfect life because His belief directed the things He did. We know a lot about the Bible. It is important that we put that knowledge to work in our heart. Out of our heart we will receive the strength we need to do what we must do. Courage isn’t a thought it is an activity-putting our character to work.
11/07 John 7:9-11
So Jesus remained in Galilee. 10 But after his brothers had left for the festival, Jesus also went, though secretly, staying out of public view. 11 The Jewish leaders tried to find him at the festival and kept asking if anyone had seen him.
NOW
Jesus is here now. He lives for us and is available for us as we live our life. Now is the time to grow our relationship with the Lord. Now is the time to follow Jesus.
11/06 John 7:6-8
Jesus replied, “Now is not the right time for me to go. But you can go anytime, and it will make no difference. 7 The world can’t hate you, but it does hate me because I accuse it of sin and evil. 8 You go on. I am not yet ready to go to this festival, because my time has not yet come.”
TIME
Now is the time that we are called to profess our faith. There is no promise of tomorrow. Everyone that you meet needs Jesus. We need to make sure that we are representing Christ and that we are faithful in living a Christ like life.
11/05 John 7:1-5
After this, Jesus stayed in Galilee, going from village to village. He wanted to stay out of Judea where the Jewish leaders were plotting his death. 2 But soon it was time for the Festival of Shelters, 3 and Jesus’ brothers urged him to go to Judea for the celebration. “Go where your followers can see your miracles!” they scoffed. 4 “You can’t become a public figure if you hide like this! If you can do such wonderful things, prove it to the world!” 5 For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.
BELIEVE
Lean not unto your own understanding-believe in the Lord. What is your situation? Take it to Jesus and listen to Him as He gives you direction. We belong to Him and He is committed to our welfare. Believe in Jesus and He will change your life.
11/04 Psalm 134:1
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. Oh, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, you who serve as night watchmen in the house of the LORD. 2 Lift your hands in holiness, and bless the LORD. 3 May the LORD, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Jerusalem.
BLESS
We can bless the Lord therefore we should every opportunity we get. When I bless the Lord I am expressing my thankfulness and gratitude and Lord I am thankful and grateful. Bless the Lord today this moment, bless the Lord with every thought that I have. Bless the Lord from the depth of my being.
11/03 Psalm 133:1-3
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. How wonderful it is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony! 2 For harmony is as precious as the fragrant anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. 3 Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life forevermore.
HARMONY
Live at harmony with your neighbor. This requires us to put others before our self. It requires forgiveness. It requires love for others.
11/02 Psalm 132:13
For the LORD has chosen Jerusalem; he has desired it as his home. 14 “This is my home where I will live forever,” he said. “I will live here, for this is the place I desired. 15 I will make this city prosperous and satisfy its poor with food. 16 I will make its priests the agents of salvation; its godly people will sing for joy. 17 Here I will increase the power of David; my anointed one will be a light for my people. 18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but he will be a glorious king.”
CHOSEN
The Lord has chosen Jerusalem as His home forever. He has chosen you as His child. Both of these choices are forever. Nothing can stop us from being His child. Love the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. He will guide you and protect you.
11/01/14 Psalm 132:6-12
We heard that the Ark was in Ephrathah; then we found it in the distant countryside of Jaar. 7 Let us go to the dwelling place of the LORD; let us bow low before him. 8 Arise, O LORD, and enter your sanctuary, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power. 9 Your priests will be agents of salvation; may your loyal servants sing for joy. 10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject the king you chose for your people. 11 The LORD swore to David a promise he will never take back: “I will place one of your descendants on your throne. 12 If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and follow the decrees that I teach them, then your royal line will never end.”
FOLLOW
Follow the Lord. Follow Him today and every day. Stop where you are and recommit your self to following the Lord. It is an act of will. It is something only you can do for you. Follow the Lord.
10/31 Psalm 132:1
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. LORD, remember David and all that he suffered. 2 He took an oath before the LORD. He vowed to the Mighty One of Israel, 3 “I will not go home; I will not let myself rest. 4 I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber 5 until I find a place to build a house for the LORD, a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel.”
SANCTUARY
David knew that the Lord was first and that without Him he could do nothing. Come into His sanctuary, into His presence and spend time with Him. Jesus is Lord and He is seeking time with you.
10/30 Psalm 131:3
O Israel, put your hope in the LORD — now and always.
ONLY
Jesus is our only hope. No government, no amount of money, no birth, no other death nothing can give us hope, lasting hope except Jesus. He comes to you and me from the Father. He is our bright and guiding light. Jesus is our salvation. He gives us a relationship with God the Father. He is Lord and HE is our only hope.
