10/19 Psalm 128:1-3
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. How happy are those who fear the LORD — all who follow his ways! 2 You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How happy you will be! How rich your life! 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine, flourishing within your home. And look at all those children! There they sit around your table as vigorous and healthy as young olive trees.
FEAR
Fear (respect) the Lord. He is worthy of all devotion and honor. He is Lord of all, all knowing, all everything. The Lord will give us His blessing as we live our life in devotion to Him.
10/18 Psalm 127:2-5
It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. 3 Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. 4 Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows in a warrior’s hands. 5 How happy is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates.
BE
We are called to be children of God and that we are when we bend our knee to Jesus. Jesus Christ brings us into the Family of God. Jesus loves you. Don’t waste time working for what fades away and instead be diligent in devoting your time to things that are eternal.
10/17 Psalm 127:1
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. A psalm of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds a house, the work of the builders is useless. Unless the LORD protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
SECURITY
The world is a dangerous place. All of us will one day pass. Jesus is our only security. In Christ we have eternal life. He gives us wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding so that we can live a life directed by His grace. Jesus will lead us. He will protect us. Jesus Christ is our only security.
10/16 Psalm 126:3-6
Yes, the LORD has done amazing things for us! What joy! 4 Restore our fortunes, LORD, as streams renew the desert. 5 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. 6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
YES
Yes we have a future. No matter the difficulty we face we have a future and a hope in Jesus Christ. Jesus is Lord of all and we are under His watchcare. Rejoice for the Lord is in control.
10/15 Psalm 126:1-2
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. When the LORD restored his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! 2 We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the LORD has done for them.”
TIMELY
What the Lord promises He will deliver timely, in His time at the perfect time. He is never late and He will always deliver upon His promises. We are waiting the return of Jesus. He is coming and it will be at just the right time. Come Lord Jesus.
10/14 Psalm 125:4-5
O LORD, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you. 5 But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O LORD. Take them away with those who do evil. And let Israel have quietness and peace.
PEACE
So many are looking for peace in their life. When we trust the Lord even though it storms we can have peace. Peace is a gift that the Lord Jesus gives to us. Claim your peace from Jesus. Follow Him.
10/13 Psalm 125:3
The wicked will not rule the godly, for then the godly might be forced to do wrong.
TIME
We are time-limited creatures. It seems as though things will never come to pass but trust the Lord they will come to pass. The Lord is not weak. The Lord is not forgetful. Justice will prevail. His will will be done.
10/12 Psalm 125:2
Just as the mountains surround and protect Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds and protects his people, both now and forever.
PROTECTS
The Lord protects you. You are His and He is protecting you now and forever. Remember when things get tough and the going gets rough that the Lord will protect you.
10/11 Psalm 125:1
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever.
TRUST
Trust the Lord. He is trustworthy. He is concerned about you. Jesus loves you and He is our security.
10/10 Psalm 124:6-8
Blessed be the LORD, who did not let their teeth tear us apart! 7 We escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap. The trap is broken, and we are free! 8 Our help is from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth.
HELP
The Lord is our help as we face each day. Life has a way of turning us upside down in the blink of an eye and yet the Lord is our help. He will encourage us, protect us and make things right. The Lord is our help!
