NOV. 12 – JAMES 1:17

11/12          James 1:17

17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.  He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

GIFT

Our great and might God, Jesus Christ, is a GIFT giver.

He gives us salvation.

He gives us His presence.

He gives us companionship.

He reveals himself to us in our obedience. 

Praise God our Lord, for His wondrous gifts. 

NOV. 11 – PS. 106:47

11/11          Psalm 106:47

47 Save us, O Lord our God!
    Gather us back from among the nations,
so we can thank your holy name
    and rejoice and praise you.

SAVE US

Save us, O Lord our God.

Save us from the sin that so easily distracts us.

Draw us near to you to spend time with you.

Father God, we want to know you better.

Knowing you comes from you and we desire it. 

Praise God, save us, O Lord, from ourselves. 

NOV. 10 – ROMANS 12:1

11/10          Romans 12:1

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

TRUE

True worship-serving God by obeying God. 

Find time to do the things God encourages you to do.

Remember that thinking it does not make it so.

Doing it is the road to service and serving. 

Sacrifice your life to Jesus and for Jesus and you will find it. 

NOV. 9 – 2 COR. 9:15

11/9            2 Corinthians 9:15

15 Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!

JESUS

Jesus Christ, God’s unspeakable gift.

The Head of the Church.

The foundation of our giving.

The leader of God’s people, and our elder brother. 

Jesus Christ has us firmly anchored in heaven with the Father.

He stands beside us administering the grace and mercy of God. 

Jesus is our blessed Savior and God’s gift too wonderful for words. 

NOV. 8 – 2 COR. 4:15

11/8            2 Corinthians 4:15

15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

GREAT

Great love produces new Christians. 

Keep our focus on Jesus.

We will overflow with His love. 

Hot hearts for Jesus, share the Gospel everywhere. 

The Holy Spirit uses our faithfulness to share the Gospel. 

He gives birth to new Christians out of our faithful tell the Good News. 

Great love produces new Christians. 

NOV. 7 – PSALMS 136:1

11/7            Psalms 136:1

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.

FOREVER

God’s love is with us. 

He will never leave us.

His love endures forever, no matter what we do.

God is perfect and He never changes. 

Keep your focus on Jesus.

He will see you through. 

NOV. 6 – COL. 3:17

11/6            Colossians 3:17

17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

ALWAYS

Live in the always!

Always with Jesus.

Always led by the Holy Spirit.

Always grateful.

Always Helpful.

Always positive. 

Always living here and in the throne room of Almighty God. 

NOV. 5 – PHIL. 4:6

11/5            Philippians 4:6

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.

TODAY

Life is lived now.

Jesus equips us to live now whatever we are facing.

We don’t know the future and all of our angst is invested in the future.

Forget the angst.

Take it to Jesus.

Tell Him what you need and why.

Let Him take care of you. 

Lay down your angst and when you finish praying leave it on the altar. 

Trust Jesus, focus on Him and live will change.

Begin right now by faith and thank Him for hearing you and answering you. 

Gratitude is the attitude of the focused disciple. 

NOV. 4 – PSALM 100:4

11/4            Psalm 100:4

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
    go into his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him and praise his name.

WORSHIP

I’m thinking that our worship should be joyous. 

Going to church should be a joyous occasion. 

Help me Lord to claim your joy and live with gratitude and thanks. 

NOV. 3 – COL. 3:15

11/3            Colossians 3:15

15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

BODY       

We are His.

We belong to the church-we are the body of Christ.

Help me to live in peace.

Pray for friends and foes, and forgive those who mistreat you. 

This is Christ’s command, and

We can only do what Jesus commanded us to do, be thankful, always.
