Today's Good News

OCT. 23 – ACTS 14:21-22

10/23          Acts 14:21-22

21 After preaching the Good News in Derbe and making many disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch of Pisidia, 22 where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.

ENCOURAGE

Encourage one another.

Life is hard and we need encouragement.

Care for each other, we need friends, and we need to be a friend.

Friends are special and very important in our faith journey.

Remember, the best way to have friends is to be a friend.

We find great joy and satisfaction in helping others.

OCT. 22 – LK. 22:31-32

10/22          Luke 22:31-32

31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32 But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

JESUS

Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us.

Jesus loves us more than we love ourself.

Jesus is our guarantee.

He will never leave us.

He will always seek the best for us.

Jesus, our Lord is our protector.

HE is looking for our best good.

Know Him Better by spending more time with Him.

Seek the Lord.

OCT. 21 – 1 PETER 1:3-9

10/21          1 Peter 1:3-9

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.6 So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

PROTECTION

We are protected by the Father, Himself.

He protects our present and ensures our future.

We can trust the future, because the Father protects it.

Do not take your eyes off of Jesus.

Do not fear.

Whatever happens the Lord is near and He holds your future,

In His hands.

OCT. 20 – HEB. 6:11-12

10/20          Hebrews 6:11-12

11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

FAITH

We seek to keep our faith vibrant, whatever happens.

We are focused on Jesus.

He is our faith.

Do not despair.

Do not fear.

Jesus is with us until we stand before Him in Heaven.

OCT. 19- 1 THESS. 1:2-3

10/19          1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

2 We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. 3 As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.

YOU

We pray for you.

You are valuable.

The Lord is blessing you with fellowship.

He is blessing you with the opportunity to share about Jesus.

Jesus is critical for your salvation,

Join with others and share what Jesus has done for you.

The Holy Spirit of God uses your testimony,

Whatever it may be, to touch the heart of others and bring them to salvation.

Tell about Jesus saving you.

He is Lord.

Share the Gospel message-Jesus saves.

OCT. 18 – GAL. 5:5

10/18          Galatians 5:5

5 But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us.

HOPE

Our hope is vested in the Lord.

He is our hope.

He guarantees all the promises of God.

Trust in the Lord.

He will fulfill every promise made to you.

Search the Word of God-The Bible-to discover all of His promises to you.

Trust in the Lord and He will do it.

OCT. 17 – ROMANS 5:1-2

10/17          Romans 5:1-2

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace[a] with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

PEACE

Peace from God is valuable.

His peace gives us security, safety and prosperity.

We are filled with His Spirit.

We have His hand guiding us.

We travel a peaceful road, even in the midst of chaos.

Peace gives us time to think through our blessings.

Counting our blessings gives us prosperity.

OCT. 16 – EPH. 2:8-9

10/16          Ephesians 2:8-9

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

GIFT

Salvation is a gift, it is all of God through Jesus Christ.

Salvation is needed for us to be in God’s family.

Believe in Jesus and He will give you the gift of life.

He is Lord.

You need Jesus.

OCT. 15 – HEBREWS 11:11

10/15          Hebrews 11:11

11 It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed[b] that God would keep his promise.

FAITH

They were barren until God said you will have a child.

Barely believing, Sarah turned to the Lord.

Following Abraham’s lead, she believed.

God gave them a child of promise.

Follow Jesus.

He always does what He says He will do.

Trust in the Lord.

He is faithful.

OCT. 14 – HEBREWS 11:8

10/14          Hebrews 11:8

8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.

WHERE

Where the Lord leads is where we want to go.

He doesn’t have to tell, by faith we know.

The journey with Him will be successful.

He will lead us in His love, mercy and grace.

He takes away our sin, and guides us in the Godly way.
