FEB 10 – SPIRITUALITY

02/10 Luke 13:26-28
You will say, ‘But we ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ 27 And he will reply, ‘I tell you, I don’t know you. Go away, all you who do evil.’ 28 “And there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth, for you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets within the Kingdom of God, but you will be thrown out.
SPIRITUALITY
People love to develop their spirituality. They have big ideas and great plans of how they would run the world and how things should be. It is only fairy tales and whistling in the dark. Jesus has said thus saith the Lord. We are to say Amen and so be it Lord. Jesus is the only way.

FEB 8 – KINGDOM

02/08 Luke 13:20-21
He also asked, “What else is the Kingdom of God like? 21 It is like yeast used by a woman making bread. Even though she used a large amount of flour, the yeast permeated every part of the dough.”
KINGDOM
We are part of God’s kingdom. Every one of us was saved the same way-a free gift of God lest anyone boast. Humility becomes us. Live as we are led by Jesus and we will quickly discover that we are filled with the Spirit and the Kingdom of God is in us. Serve. Love. Be.

FEB 7 – YOU

02/07 Luke 13:18-19
Then Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? 19 It is like a tiny mustard seed planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds come and find shelter among its branches.”
YOU
You and I are called to be partners together with God. He will shepherd us through our lives. He will give us the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding we need to serve Him where we are. People count most with Jesus and His call right now is to care for one another. Share the Gospel. Be generous with what you have. Jesus loves you.

FEB 6 – GOOD

02/06 Luke 13:17
This shamed his enemies. And all the people rejoiced at the wonderful things he did.
GOOD
God is good. Everything He does is good. We have very little knowledge about what the Lord is up to therefore by faith we can declare that all the Lord does is good. Praise the Lord for He is perfect. He loves you and me. All HE does is for our benefit. Praise the Lord.

FEB 5 – LOVE

02/05 Luke 13:15-16
But the Lord replied, “You hypocrite! You work on the Sabbath day! Don’t you untie your ox or your donkey from their stalls on the Sabbath and lead them out for water? 16 Wasn’t it necessary for me, even on the Sabbath day, to free this dear woman from the bondage in which Satan has held her for eighteen years?”
LOVE
Jesus loves people. He is focused on your need. He wants to equip you to be the person He created you to be. Once we are equipped the Lord has a plan for our life. That plan is to love one another. Love the Lord, Love people.

FEB 4 – EVIL

02/04 Luke 13:14
But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. “There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd. “Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.”
EVIL
This is the real face of evil. It poses as truth and yet is the liar. We must take extra steps to insure that we are doing the next right thing. Love the Lord. Serve people and love them. Jesus is Lord and He knows your heart.

FEB 3 – COMPASSION

02/03 Luke 13:10-13
One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, 11 he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are healed of your sickness!” 13 Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised and thanked God!
COMPASSION
Jesus was filled with compassion. He was seeking to help each person that came to Him. This woman was desperately in need of healing and Jesus healed her. Jesus cares for you. Let Him heal you right now.

FEB 1 – CALL

02/01 Luke 13:3-5
Not at all! And you will also perish unless you turn from your evil ways and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen men who died when the Tower of Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will also perish.”
CALL
Jesus is looking for you. He is calling your name. Bend you knee to Him and let Him save you. You don’t pay for salvation. Repent Jesus says. Repent and come into His kingdom.

FEB 2 – SALVATION

02/02 Luke 13:6-9
Then Jesus used this illustration: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. 7 Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s taking up space we can use for something else.’ 8 “The gardener answered, ‘Give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. 9 If we get figs next year, fine. If not, you can cut it down.'”
SALVATION
Jesus came that you might be saved. His mission is real life. The Lord will one day come in judgment but today, right now He is looking for you. Accept His offer of new life and come to Him right now. Jesus is Lord.

JAN 31 – BLIND

01/31 Luke 13:1-2
About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were sacrificing at the Temple in Jerusalem. 2 “Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than other people from Galilee?” he asked. “Is that why they suffered?
BLIND
The world is dead in their trespasses and sin, blind to the things of God. Suffering is a very complex event and we cannot stand in judgment of the why of suffering because we have such a small amount of information about it. We are cause and effect folks and we want to see the cause and assume the effect. Life doesn’t work that way. The weaves life together in such a way that pain and suffering is avoided at any cost. We fear it and yet it is a normal part of life. Do not fear suffering when the Lord is with you. Do not fear.
