Today's Good News

APRIL 2 – ACT

04/02 Ephesians 4:2
Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Always keep your selves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind yourselves together with peace.
ACT
Do you treat your family like you treat friends? It is important how we act. Family is important and we help them, make allowances for them and love them. A Christian is in the family of God. Treat your fellow Christian as a family member for they are. We are in God’s family and are called to be humble, gentle, patient and loving.

APRIL 1 – CALLED

04/01 Ephesians 4:1
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.
CALLED
We often think that only preachers or other church workers are called of God. You were dead in your trespasses and sin and are now a child of God. You are called of God. The Lord gave you a new heart and a new life, you have been born again. Your life counts with the Lord. Claim your heritage for you are called of God.

MARCH 31 – AROSE

03/31 Psalm 119:48-54
I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your principles. 49 Remember your promise to me, for it is my only hope. 50 Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles. 51 The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your law. 52 I meditate on your age-old laws; O LORD, they comfort me. 53 I am furious with the wicked, those who reject your law. 54 Your principles have been the music of my life throughout the years of my pilgrimage.
AROSE
Today Jesus arose from the grave, 3rd day, and is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us. The Lord has shared his Word with us in written form, and in the physical form of Jesus Christ. Jesus is Lord and we are well served when we listen to Him, obey Him and follow Him. This life, this service, is all about Jesus. We are with Him and He is alive with us.

MARCH 30 – OBEY

03/30 Psalm 119:39-47
Help me abandon my shameful ways; your laws are all I want in life. 40 I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness. 41 LORD, give to me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me. 42 Then I will have an answer for those who taunt me, for I trust in your word. 43 Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for my only hope is in your laws. 44 I will keep on obeying your law forever and forever. 45 I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments. 46 I will speak to kings about your decrees, and I will not be ashamed. 47 How I delight in your commands! How I love them!
OBEY
Seek the Lord and His truth. Do what His truth tells you to do. Be the kind of person Christ created you to be. Righteousness is a grace gift from the Lord. Listen to Him, do what He says and He will guide your path and keep you safe.

MARCH 29 – CHANGE

03/29 Psalm 119:33-38
Teach me, O LORD, to follow every one of your principles. 34 Give me understanding and I will obey your law; I will put it into practice with all my heart. 35 Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. 36 Give me an eagerness for your decrees; do not inflict me with love for money! 37 Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. 38 Reassure me of your promise, which is for those who honor you.
CHANGE
Obedience requires me to change. Me my and mine work against me. I want my way, my, my, my and feel okay about doing that but it isn’t okay. I need to change so that I will obey the Lord. Help me Father to turn my heart and my eyes to YOU and do as You say.

MARCH 28 – HARD

03/28 Psalm 119:28-32
I weep with grief; encourage me by your word. 29 Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your law. 30 I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your laws. 31 I cling to your decrees. LORD, don’t let me be put to shame! 32 If you will help me, I will run to follow your commands.
HARD
Lord it is hard to live life sometimes. Everything is difficult. But I know that you make life meaningful and give us the strength to live so help me Lord please. When you do I will RUN to follow you commands. Stop, look and listen. The Lord is here for you.

MARCH 27 – HELP

03/27 Psalm 119:25-27
I lie in the dust, completely discouraged; revive me by your word. 26 I told you my plans, and you answered. Now teach me your principles. 27 Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful miracles.
HELP
Help me Lord that I might live my life right. Ask the Lord for His plans. Ask Him to give you wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding so that you will be able to live His plans for your life.

MARCH 26 – SEE

03/26 Psalm 119:18-24
Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your law. 19 I am but a foreigner here on earth; I need the guidance of your commands. Don’t hide them from me! 20 I am overwhelmed continually with a desire for your laws. 21 You rebuke those cursed proud ones who wander from your commands. 22 Don’t let them scorn and insult me, for I have obeyed your decrees. 23 Even princes sit and speak against me, but I will meditate on your principles. 24 Your decrees please me; they give me wise advice.
SEE
I want to see God’s truths and as I am diligently studying His Word I ask Him to reveal His truths to me. We need the Lord. Without Him we are bereft of wisdom for living. Ask the Lord to show you His way for your life.

MARCH 25 – CHARGE

03/25 Psalm 119:13-17
I have recited aloud all the laws you have given us. 14 I have rejoiced in your decrees as much as in riches. 15 I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. 16 I will delight in your principles and not forget your word. 17 Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word.
CHARGE
I am God’s person. I follow God’s way. I cultivate a God ward attitude. The Lord is my shepherd. I am constantly spending time with the Lord and letting the meditations of my heart become the Words that I speak. The result is joy.

MARCH 24 – HOW

03/24 Psalm 119:9-12
How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word and following its rules. 10 I have tried my best to find you — don’t let me wander from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. 12 Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your principles.
HOW
Let the Lord teach us His Word and His principles. We are all at times prone to addictive behavior. What we want to do is to be controlled by the Lord and not let our idiosyncrasies control us. Think about the Lord. Read His Word. Let the Holy Spirit guide you. Jesus is Lord.
