7/24 John 14:18-20
No, I will not abandon you as orphans — I will come to you. 19 In just a little while the world will not see me again, but you will. For I will live again, and you will, too. 20 When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
ETERNAL
Jesus brings eternal life to us. He is life. He gives us light for living so that we can see our way. His protection is complete and eternal. Jesus will never leave us.
7/23 John 14:15-17
“If you love me, obey my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you do, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
OBEDIENCE
Jesus loves obedience more than sacrifice. Jesus says that our love for Him will be manifested in our body and result in changing the way we act. Filled with the Spirit I will act more like Jesus.
7/22 John 14:12-14
“The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!
ALIKE
When we come into God’s family we will begin to act like Jesus. Since Christ saved us and guides us and protects, forgives and loves us we are led to become more like Jesus. The more we love the Lord the more we will act like Jesus. The more we love Jesus, people, submission and obedience the more we will act like Jesus. In our lifetime we are on a journey to become exactly like Jesus.
7/21 John 14:10-11
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I say are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. 11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of what you have seen me do.
BELIEVE
We either believe the words of Jesus or we disbelieve. Those are the choices. There is not choice that is fence sitting putting off until tomorrow what we can only do today. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you. He will do that and give you new life at the same time. Jesus is Lord.
7/20 John 14:7-9
If you had known who I am, then you would have known who my Father is. From now on you know him and have seen him!” 8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied.” 9 Jesus replied, “Philip, don’t you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him?
FACT
When you submit your life to Jesus you are committing your life to God the Father. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one. Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected from the grave by God the Father. Christ now lives and is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us right now. He is also with us. He is seeking our best good. When you see Jesus you have seen the Father.
7/19 John 14:4-6
And you know where I am going and how to get there.” 5 “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We haven’t any idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
ONLY
Jesus is the only way to the Father. There is no other way. Christ says it and I believe it. Do not be lulled into a false religion by the belief of the unbeliever. This is not a limitation instead it is wisdom from God. We do not have to be misled. Fuzzy thinking won’t provide a relationship with God. Jesus says that He is the only way to the Father.
7/18 John 14:2-3
There are many rooms in my Father’s home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
PROMISE
Jesus promises us that we will not be left behind. He will at the right time come and get us. Chaos today-peace forever Jesus reminds us. This life is just the beginning of eternity. Trust the Lord and His promises to you. He is trustworthy.
7/17 John 14:1
1 “Don’t be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me.
TRUST
Trust Jesus with your life. He will give you new life and that life eternal. Spend time with Him. Worship Him. Know Him. Your life will radically change as Jesus changes you.
7/16 John 15:24-27
If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be counted guilty. But as it is, they saw all that I did and yet hated both of us — me and my Father. 25 This has fulfilled what the Scriptures said: ‘They hated me without cause.’ 26 “But I will send you the Counselor — the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will tell you all about me. 27 And you must also tell others about me because you have been with me from the beginning.
SMART
Some people are too smart for their own good. When confronted with the claims of Christ they deny, resist and refuse consideration of His claims-there is not other way to the Father except thru Jesus! You however have accepted Him as Lord and Savior. He is the victor and you belong to Him and will experience His victory.
7/15 John 15:20-23
Do you remember what I told you? ‘A servant is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you! 21 The people of the world will hate you because you belong to me, for they don’t know God who sent me. 22 They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Anyone who hates me hates my Father, too.
STAND
We seek to know the Lord. We will not know Him through the testimony of the world. Seek His face and His presence and learn about Him. As you get to know Jesus you will grow in your ability to stand in the face of persecution. Jesus will guide you and will empower you to grow. Jesus loves you.
