9/30 Colossians 3:16
Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
LIVE
We are to live in the power of Christ. When we focus our minds and hearts on Him we experience His presence and power. Gratitude is the attitude of a heart focused on Jesus. Thank you Lord.

9/29 Colossians 3:15
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
PEACE
When the Spirit of God controls us we will have peace. Peace is the absence of violence, wars, chaos, evil and other activities that stir up the spirit and it is an active state of being in harmony with the Lord. We know we are saved. We experience His presence. We live as His child. Peace is living with an awareness of the presence of the Living Lord.

9/28 Colossians 3:14
And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony.
LOVE
Love is an action. When we love someone we treat them differently than someone we do not love. We are merciful, kind, humble, gentle and patient with someone we love. Go and be this way with all people. That is God’s command to us-to love one another.

9/27 Colossians 3:12-13
Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
CHOSE
God chose us, me and you, to be part of His family. In fact God would that no one be lost therefore He is calling each one of us but few respond. We responded and received His gracious gift of life and family membership. Now we are responsible to pattern our lives after Him. He forgave us and we must forgive others.

9/26 Colossians 3:11
In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
LIFE
Life begins in Christ. He died to set us free from slavery to sin. His grace gift to us is life in the family of God. Jesus gives us life now and forever. He is Lord and alive in us that accept His invitation to life.

9/25 Colossians 3:10
In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you.
BE
When we are growing in Christ we are learning how to be. Our insides are changing. Our obedience comes when we combine what we think with what we do. Be about the Lord’s business. Stop telling God what you want and surrender. Be what the Lord wants.

9/24 Colossians 3:9
Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds.
CHANGE
Your old way was to lie. Don’t deny it. Turn to the Lord and let Him change the way you think and speak. Let Jesus have control of your life and you will act like Christ.

9/23 Colossians 3:7-8
You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
PROCESS
Today begin the process of letting the Holy Spirit change you. Tomorrow when you mess up stop when it happens and fess up then. Do not put off until tomorrow, when you do what you said you would never do again, when you mess up. Keep SHORT ACCOUNTS WITH THE LORD. Repent and change. Two months down the road you will be amazed at how active the Lord is in your life. You can change but you have to let the Lord change you and then you have to walk the walk filled with the Spirit of the Living God.

9/22 Colossians 3:5-6
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don’t be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. God’s terrible anger will come upon those who do such things.
CHANGE
When we come into God’s family we must change. The Lord will guide us. A Christ is called to bend the knee to God, listen to what He says in His Word and then do what He says. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

9/21 Colossians 3:4
And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
LIFE
Our life is Christ. Without Jesus we have nothing-no future, no present only annihilation. Our life has value that transcends things of this world. In Jesus we have strength to face the very things that would otherwise drag us down. In Jesus we have light and life for living each day and can know with surety that we will be with Him forever.
