Today's Good News

NOVEMBER 2 – PRAY

11/02 I Thessalonians 1:2
We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly.
PRAY
Pray today for those around you. Pray for the hurting. Develop a habit of being in constant pray for everyone you meet. People need prayer. We need prayer. Part of our daily work is to be in prayer for the people we know and for those in need. Pray for me and I will pray for you.

NOVEMBER 1 – GRACE

11/01 1 Thessalonians 1:1
This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy. It is written to the church in Thessalonica, you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. May his grace and peace be yours.
GRACE
Grace is God giving us what we need and cannot earn. The Lord has grace for you today sufficient to meet your need. His grace is overflowing towards each one of us and we are blessed to be the recipients of His grace. Today stop for a moment and thank God for His precious, bounteous, overflowing grace towards you. God loves you.

OCTOBER 31 – SAVED

10/31 Psalm 17:14-15
Save me by your mighty hand, O LORD, from those whose only concern is earthly gain. May they have their punishment in full. May their children inherit more of the same, and may the judgment continue to their children’s children. But because I have done what is right, I will see you. When I awake, I will be fully satisfied, for I will see you face to face.
SAVED
Do what is right, ask Jesus into your heart. If you have asked Jesus into your heart you will never be at the mercy of the world. Your life is hidden in Christ with God. The power of the world cannot shake you. Jesus will never forsake you. The Lord is a mighty warrior and He fights your fights for you.

OCTOBER 30 – POWER

10/30 Psalm 17:12-13
They are like hungry lions, eager to tear me apart — like young lions in hiding, waiting for their chance. Arise, O LORD! Stand against them and bring them to their knees! Rescue me from the wicked with your sword!
POWER
Jesus has real power. Nothing can separate us from Him. Rejoice today because you are safe in Christ. Jesus is God’s everything and you belong to Him. Stand fast in the face of the world and the Lord will deliver you.

OCTOBER 29 – WORLD

10/29 Psalm 17:10-11
They are without pity. Listen to their boasting. They track me down, surround me, and throw me to the ground.
WORLD
The world is a hard, evil place. It destroys people. The world is always seeking to put us down. The world brings famine, pestilence, war and a multitude of other disappointing, destructive things. Jesus stands against the world and brings us an abundant life. In Christ we find meaning and value. Jesus is alive and He lives in those of us that name His name as Lord and Savior.

OCTOBER 28 – CONFIDENCE

10/28 Psalm 17:6-9
I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. You save with your strength those who seek refuge from their enemies. Guard me as the apple of your eye. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. Protect me from wicked people who attack me, from murderous enemies who surround me.
CONFIDENCE
We can have confidence in the Lord. He knows everything about us. The Lord is intimately involved in our life. Seek to know Him. Spend time with Jesus. When you spend time with Jesus you will begin to see things from His perspective. You will know He is present and you will stand against the world without being shaken.

OCTOBER 27 – THINK

10/27 Psalm 17:3-5
You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing amiss, for I am determined not to sin in what I say. I have followed your commands, which have kept me from going along with cruel and evil people. My steps have stayed on your path; I have not wavered from following you.
THINK
Think about your daily walk. Are you aligning yourself with the things of God? It is important that we discuss our life and lifestyle with the Lord for He cares for us. He will give us the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding that we need to live under His control.

OCTOBER 26 – FOCUS

10/26 Psalm 17:1-2
A prayer of David. O LORD, hear my plea for justice. Listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, for it comes from an honest heart. Declare me innocent, for you know those who do right.
FOCUS
Think about the Lord. Stop thinking about problems, issues, good things, bad things anything else except the Lord. Focus your thoughts on Jesus. When you do you will be amazed at what will happen: you will hear the Lord. Jesus will speak to your heart and guide you. He will help you.

OCTOBER 25 – GRACE

10/25 Colossians 4:12
Epaphras, from your city, a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings. He always prays earnestly for you, asking God to make you strong and perfect, fully confident of the whole will of God. I can assure you that he has agonized for you and also for the Christians in Laodicea and Hierapolis. Dear Doctor Luke sends his greetings, and so does Demas. Please give my greetings to our Christian brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and those who meet in her house. After you have read this letter, pass it on to the church at Laodicea so they can read it, too. And you should read the letter I wrote to them. And say to Archippus, “Be sure to carry out the work the Lord gave you.” Here is my greeting in my own handwriting — PAUL. Remember my chains. May the grace of God be with you.
GRACE
Grace is God giving us what we need and cannot earn. What are your needs today? Peace, ask the Lord. Strength, ask the Lord. Comfort, ask the Lord. Whatever you need today ask the Lord.

OCTOBER 24 – PEOPLE

10/24 Colossians 4:7-11
Tychicus, a much-loved brother, will tell you how I am getting along. He is a faithful helper who serves the Lord with me. I have sent him on this special trip to let you know how we are doing and to encourage you. I am also sending Onesimus, a faithful and much loved brother, one of your own people. He and Tychicus will give you all the latest news. Aristarchus, who is in prison with me, sends you his greetings, and so does Mark, Barnabas’s cousin. And as you were instructed before, make Mark welcome if he comes your way. Jesus (the one we call Justus) also sends his greetings. These are the only Jewish Christians among my co-workers; they are working with me here for the Kingdom of God. And what a comfort they have been!
PEOPLE
People count with the Lord. Paul recognizes the people he is with and commends them to the Lord and us. Pray for one another. You are important to the Lord and so are those you know.
