7/13 Psalm 5:3-4
Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the slightest sin.
DAILY
Spend time with the Lord each day. Speak to Him. Listen to Him. Let the Lord direct your path. He is able to guide you in the way you should go.
7/12 Psalm 5:1-2
For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by the flute. O LORD, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I will never pray to anyone but you.
LISTEN
Jesus gives us the Holy audacity to cry out to the Father, please listen Lord. The amazing thing is that the Lord will listen. What a promise. We have a Father who knows us and cares for us. The Lord wants to be involved in our life.
7/11 Psalm 4:7-8
You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and wine. I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.
SECURITY
Security is important for us to lead a normal life. The Lord gives us His security for now and into eternity. We belong to Him and He will not forsake us. Nothing surprises the Lord. Therefore, live in peace, His peace for the Lord is in control.
7/10 Psalm 4:5-6
Offer proper sacrifices, and trust in the LORD. Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let the smile of your face shine on us, LORD.
JOY
There is great joy in trusting the Lord. We know He knows all about us and that nothing that happens to us catches Him by surprise. Know the Lord for in our knowing Him we find great strength and great joy in our daily life. All else can fail but the Lord never fails.
7/09 Psalm 4:3-4
You can be sure of this: The LORD has set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him. Don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude
ANGER
We should be careful about anger. We need to listen to the Lord and let Him handle situations that provoke us to anger. No matter the problem the Lord will not leave us at the mercy of the world. Our faith is critical to our building trust in the Lord. Trust will conquer our anger. Let the Lord control you.
7/08 Psalm 4:1-2
For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by stringed instruments. Answer me when I call, O God who declares me innocent. Take away my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer. How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make these groundless accusations? How long will you pursue lies? Interlude
NEED
We need the Lord. Many times we cry out in the midst of our anguish. Do we really believe the Lord will respond? The Psalmist does. So do we. Remember the past times that the Lord has responded to your need. He will do it again. The Lord is faithful and He will not leave you in a lurch. Trust in the Lord.
7/07 Psalm 3:7-8
Arise, O LORD! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked! Victory comes from you, O LORD. May your blessings rest on your people.
PERSONAL
In Christ you have a personal relationship with the Lord. It is special, specific and eternal. The Lord Himself safeguards this personal relationship. He will never leave you nor will He permit anything to separate you from Him. The Lord is God and there is no other and this wonderful all-powerful God loves you.
7/06 Psalm 3:4-6
I cried out to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude I lay down and slept. I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me. I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side.
SECURITY
The Lord is watching over you. Twenty-four, seven the Lord is concerned about your life. You are never out of His sight, nothing that happens to you surprises Him and He goes ahead of you seeking for your best good. Build a relationship with the Lord today. You will benefit from it for eternity.
7/05 Psalm 3:1-3
A psalm of David, regarding the time David fled from his son Absalom. O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” Interlude But you, O LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts my head high.
SECURITY
Our security is in the Lord. Speak to Him. Develop your relationship with Him. The Lord loves you and is seeking to build a family relationship with you buy you and only you can respond to His overtures for your life.
7/04 Psalm 2:10-12
Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the LORD with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling. Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of your pursuits — for his anger can flare up in an instant. But what joy for all who find protection in him!
PEOPLE
People want to be in charge. God is in charge. People want to determine the outcome of tomorrow but only God knows the future and we cannot understand today much less the future. Little things overwhelm us but God is in control of all things. Talk to Him about everything in your life. Praise Him and seek His guidance. Claim His presence, power and protection today.
