8/18 Psalm 32:8
8 The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.
HELP
The Lord God Almighty offers help for living.
He will help us with our life.
There is no standard formula to follow, we just focus on Jesus.
We do that by reading the Word of God,
Praying to the Lord God, and
Listening as He guides us every perilous step of the way,
Until we are at home with Him.
8/17 Romans 12:18
18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
FORGIVE
Respect others.
Forgive those who mistreat you.
Say little.
Listen.
Love the Lord.
It will go well with you and you will have peace.
8/16 Acts 2:38
38 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
DEVOTION
We love God.
Jesus saved us.
We follow Jesus and we will be baptized.
Jesus is Lord.
8/15 1 Peter 3:9
9 Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.
ONE WAY
Jesus calls us to proclaim the Gospel.
By the way we live.
By the way we love.
With our mouth.
By forgiving.
Love one another.
8/14 1 Peter 1:15-16
15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”
HOLY
Draw apart with the Lord.
Ask Him to cleanse you.
Remind Him of how much you need Him.
Worship the Lord.
Spend time with the Lord.
Only the Lord makes you Holy.
You are not God, just a sinner saved by grace.
Trust in the Lord and He will do it.
If you love the Lord, love those you are with.
Do for them as you would have the Lord do for you.
8/13 Ephesians 4:4
4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
PRAY
We pray to the Lord God Almighty.
He is one.
Jesus and the Holy Spirit are part of that one.
We don’t understand it but it is still true.
One God.
One Spirit.
One man, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Three in One.
We worship the Lord.
We worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
8/12 1 Corinthians 1:9
9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
BINDS
GOD LOVES YOU.
He will bind you into His family from now unto forever.
Yes, accept Jesus and you will always be saved.
The Holy Spirit will reside in you.
Ask Him and Jesus will do it.
Once saved, always saved!
8/11 Isaiah 65:1
The Lord says,
“I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help.
I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me.
I said, ‘Here I am, here I am!’
to a nation that did not call on my name.
IGNORE
We ignore the Lord.
We walk our own way.
Call upon Jesus and trust in Him.
He is looking for you.
8/10 2 Peter 1:10-11
10 So, dear brothers and sisters,[a] work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. 11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
REWARD
We will be rewarded for our faithfulness.
Our hard work does not go unnoticed.
Follow Jesus.
Do the next right thing.
8/09 Psalm 125:2
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.
COMFORT
It is a great comfort,
To know the Lord.
He takes our welfare and safety seriously.
He is always thinking about us.
He inscribes our name on the palms of his hands.
He knows everything about us.
We are his forevermore.
