FEB. 10 – PS. 9:9

2/10            Psalm 9:9

The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

WE 

We will have trouble.

We will need a refuge when we do. 

People of every walk of life experience an emotion of being oppressed.  

Lack of money, no friends, stupidity, evil, oppression is real. 

The Lord is our shelter.  

He will care for us.

Trust in Him.He will do it.  

FEB. 9 – PS. 23:4

2/09            Psalm 23:4

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. 

WALK

Life is a long walk.  Every day we walk in dangerous places.  Our life can end in a split second.  We trust the Lord.  He is with us.  His rod corrects us, and His staff protects us, even when we walk through the darkest valley.  Jesus is always with us.  It isn’t based on what we can do but is based on His love for us.  

FEB. 8 – 1 PETER 5:7

2/08            1 Peter 5:7

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

CARES

God loves you.  He loves you with a love that is unimaginable because of its depth and breadth.  It is an eternal love that loves you know all about you.  It is the kind of love that the expresses by caring for you.  God cares for you.  

FEB. 7 – PROV. 3:5-6

2/07            Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 

6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

TAKE

Take the path that the Lord shows you.  Trust in Him and do it.  Now.  

FEB. 6 – MT. 11:28

2/06            Matthew 11:28

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

TRUTH

This is important.  We need to understand the basics of our faith.  When things in life get overwhelming, you know that you have gotten away from God.  Surrender, seek His forgiveness and spend time with Him.  He will refresh you and carry your burdens.  

FEB. 5 – JER. 29:11

2/05            Jeremiah 29:11

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am going to bring calamity upon them, and they will not escape. Though they beg for mercy, I will not listen to their cries.

EVIL

A persistent denial of God is evil.  God will eradicate evil.  Be careful about living your life straddling the fence.  Be God’s or be gone.  

FEB. 4 – JOHN 16:33

2/04            John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

SERVE

We serve a Risen Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord.  

He is Lord, Lord of all.

Creator.

Sustainer. 

All everything we need to manage a difficult road.

Everyone walks a difficult road.

But one day, we will stand face to face with Jesus,

And we will know Him!

FEB. 3 – PHIL. 4:13

2/03            Philippians 4:13

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

IN

You must be IN Christ,

Before you do through Christ.

Jesus must be Lord.

He is first or not at all. 

He doesn’t hold forth amongst our many interests.

Jesus is Lord,

And when He is Lord of us, He gives us His strength.  

FEB. 2 – PHILIPPIANS 4:8

2/02            Philippians 4:8

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

LAST

The Last Word-

Focus on Jesus.  

Focus on the positive.

Focus on the truth-Jesus is the truth and you belong to Him. 

Focus on those things that are true in Jesus.

He holds you in His hands!

FEB. 1 – DEUT. 31:8

2/01            Deuteronomy 31:8

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” 

FAITH

Do I believe this?

If I do, I will listen to the Lord,

Follow the direction of the Holy Spirit,

And read God’s Word to drown out those negative voices,

From the evil one.
