MAY 23 – JOHN 4:32-34

05/23          John 4:32-34

32 But Jesus replied, “I have a kind of food you know nothing about.”  33 “Did someone bring him food while we were gone?” the disciples asked each other.   34 Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.

ALWAYS

God is always working in you. 

He will give you what you need each day.  

His fulfilling our need is nourishing to our life and our spiritual body. 

Jesus is Lord.  

MAY 22 – 2 CHRONICLES 7:17-18

05/22          2 Chronicles 7:17-18

17 “As for you, if you faithfully follow me as David your father did, obeying all my commands, decrees, and regulations, 18 then I will establish the throne of your dynasty. For I made this covenant with your father, David, when I said, ‘One of your descendants will always rule over Israel.’

FAITHFULLY

We are to faithfully follow Jesus.  

Spend time with Him in prayer.

Read the Word daily and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us.

Do what the Word says.

Be usable and teachable.  

Jesus will live in you and through you.  

Trust in the Lord.  

MAY 21 – EPHESIANS 2:10

05/21          Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

ETERNAL

We were created by God to be eternal. 

We choose where we will go.

To eternal perdition, eternally separated from the Lord.

To eternal membership in God’s family. 

Our choice.  

Choose Jesus.  He is Lord.  

MAY 20 – COLOSSIANS 1:10-11

05/20          Colossians 1:10-11

10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.  11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,

LIVE

Live in a way that honors God. 

Love one another. 

They will know you by your love.  

That honors God. 

Be faithful in time with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 

If you love the brethren, you are taking the Lord seriously. 

Jesus is Lord.  

MAY 19 – DEUT. 10:12

05/19          Deuteronomy 10:12

12 “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.

FEAR

Fear the Lord. 

He knows everything.  

He created everything.

We do not think like He does.  

He loves us passionately.

We want to please Him.

We recognize Him as Lord and love Him. 

Fear the Lord.  

MAY 18 – JEREMIAH 7:23

05/18          Jeremiah 7:23

23 This is what I told them: ‘Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!’

OBEY

Obey the Lord.  

Do what He says.  

Be what He created you to be.  

He will always be with you and will direct your path. 

Jesus is Lord.  He loves you.  Follow Him. 

MAY 17 – EPHESIANS 4:1

05/17          Ephesians 4:1

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

YOU

You count with Jesus.  

He has called you and set you apart for His service.  

His call is a worthy call and will give you a life work.

Jesus is calling you to service.  

Love Him by loving the people you are with.  Jesus is Lord and He loves you.  

MAY 16 – PSALM 119:1

05/16          Psalm 119:1

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD.

JOY

Joy is a gift from the Lord.  

Jesus guides us in our life so that we will live with integrity.

He tells us what we should do. 

Do what Jesus says.

MAY 15 – DEUT. 8:6

05/15          Deuteronomy 8:6

“So obey the commands of the LORD your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. 

WALKING

Let us be found walking in God’s ways.  

God loves obedience. 

Do what He says.

We must read His Word to know what He says.

That is the only place we can find out about God.

Jesus is Lord-He tells us that.

God is our Father and He loves us, He tells us that.  

We are not alone and we need Him in our life moment by moment.  

Trust in the Lord and He will take care of you.  

MAY 14 – PSALM 56:3

05/14          Psalm 56:3

But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.

FEAR

Fear is devastating.  

We don’t want to admit we are fearful, but we are. 

God deals with our fear.

He is with us every day-every moment. 

Jesus takes the fear out of our life. 

He is on control.  

Trust in the Lord and He will deal with your fear.
